Life. No parole.
This morning, the daycare provider's attorney offered comments on her behalf and then requested that the judge consider probation for her. Then the judge heard my comments and those of the deputy county attorney. He completed the proceeding with comments of his own and then issued the daycare provider a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
The defense attorney has made it clear that he intends to file an appeal.

Kirsten and Lionel,
As I watched the news on 12/22, I exhaled and felt justice for Alex had been served. I agree the sentence was not too harsh for Alex's precious life. My heart still aches for Alex, you and your extended family with many broken hearts. God Bless both of you for the courage, patience, strength and love you've given each other during every day of this ordeal. Warm hugs to Kirsten, Lionel and Caleb. Sue
